Forensic Readiness Scan

‘Forensic Readiness’ is the extent to which an organization is prepared for a forensic investigation. It is often not thought about on how and what should be documented. For example, is tracked, who and from what computer is logged on and what does he/she do on the server. For many organizations, the registration of such matters is not relevant for carrying out the daily business. But what happens if something goes wrong. Is there a way of figuring out who did what? For a facts-/fraud research, it is important to be able to figure out who did what and when. With a test from Forensic Services Caribbean, it is examined within the operating procedures and set up of the ICT system, whether sufficient information is stored, so who did what can be determined, in case this is necessary. We offer assistance with the Forensic Readiness of your organization by verifying the organizational structure and if necessary providing advice on adjustments.

3 tips

1. Look at your IT, security, management and incidents as a whole – think of it as a single system.
2. Translate your business goals to a security architecture with procedural and logical solutions. For example intelligent ‘logging’ and simulating incidents.
3. Don’t do random logging. This will cost you a lot of money and will give you a false sense of security.
